Effective Communication for Team Success

Research has shown that teams who effectively communicate have higher productivity, more lasting commitments, stronger results, and a better understanding of and connection to one another.

This program will help your team break barriers and begin to build more trusting relationships for acceleration of productivity and success.

In this 2-part interactive offsite, we will:

  • Introduce 4 common styles of communication
  • Identify and explore our own default styles
  • Become more aware of the needs, expectations, and “hot spots” for each person
  • Introduce the CAN model of 3 critical communication skills

In-Session Assessment:
During the group offsite, each executive will take a short communication styles assessment to identify their default style.  This will serve as a key component to live action learning during the session.

In Part 1 of this program, we will focus on communication styles.  Learners will become more aware and intentional about the needs, expectations, emotions, and “hot spots” for themselves and others.  In Part 2, we focus on the universal skills we all can and should master to become better communicators. We teach the CAN method of active listening and focus on body language, eye contact, and the role of non-verbal communication. We pack this program with practice and exercises, and give our learners the opportunity to practice and share feedback with other participants. At the end of the session, everyone leaves with tips and tricks on how we CAN all be more effective communicators right away.
