The 5 Behaviors of a Cohesive Team

Successful leadership teams understand the role they plan as a “First Team.” This session creates transparent dialogue and offers teams the opportunity to accelerate relationship-building, performance, and open communication.

In Part 1 of the Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team Offsite series, teams:

  • Learn the AWARD WINNING Five Behaviors of a Team model
  • Establish an understanding of how and where the “first team” is succeeding
  • Identify areas of focus in Trust, Conflict, Commitment, Accountability and Results

Pre-Session ONLINE ASSESSMENT:

Prior to the offsite, each executive will take the online Five Behaviors assessment to determine which factors in the leadership model are driving most success and where there is work to be done.

1-day OFFSITE:
We begin this offsite with an energizer to establish trust and focus on the importance of relationships:  the foundational behavior to the Five Behaviors.  From there, we launch into a description of Patrick Lencioni’s well-known Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team Model.  We learn about the importance of a First Team and how Trust, Conflict, Commitment, Accountability and Results each play a critical role in the success of a leadership team.

During this interactive program, we will share back assessment results with the team and have meaningful discussions about each component.  We’ll learn the significance of each factor and discuss how the team can increase scores to become more cohesive in each category.

The day is filled with breakouts, team exercises, and flips charts!  We’ll be busy having fun and learning together.  At the end of the session, the team will be well-versed on the model and will leave with a strategic plan.
