Communication Skills

Effective communication skills are a key to life inside and outside of work and they are critical for creating a culture of Candor Courage and CareTM. In this program, we focus on the universal skills we all can and should master to become better communicators. Networking Narrative

One of the most important things we do is introduce ourselves. Seems simple, but it’s often hard to figure out exactly what to say without feeling stuck, boastful, or regretful of missing the main points in those critical 30 seconds. Whether you’re meeting your new team during a Zoom call or attending a networking event, we all need to be prepared with our story. Some refer to this as an “elevator pitch”, but at Assemble we call it a Networking Narrative. This workshop will provide you with a simple framework, along with tips and tricks to create your own unique Networking Narrative. At the end of this workshop, you will leave prepared and confident to make a connection and leave a lasting impression. This program is brilliant way to help new colleagues build relationships, mix together and have fun.

Confidence

Collaboration with Confidence

Get ready for fun!! In this new program, we define collaboration, identify barriers, learn our own personal collaboration styles, and discover an effective 4-step method to building a culture of collaboration. We will surprise ourselves as we observe the way we engage in active exercises – individually and in groups. This program is getting tremendous response!

Learning to Speak Up

In a world forever altered by racial injustice, a global pandemic, divisiveness and fear, teams need to have comfort and competence in navigating difficult discussions. In this program, we tackle those “cringeworthy” topics and issues that can arise in the workplace head on by uncovering what makes them challenging, why they’re important to address and ways to build safe space for discussion. Participants will walk away with tools to help facilitate dialogue that will cultivate inclusive environments.

Power of Allyship

Many want to be allies, but not everyone understands the “how.” In this program, we define allyship and privilege and discuss the connection between the two concepts, while also reviewing the types of roles allies can play through scenarios, scripts and open conversation. Participants will walk away with a deeper understanding of their own privilege and will feel empowered to speak up and channel it in ways that will help others.

We navigate challenging messages, individuals that may take feedback personally, sharing feedback when someone is going through a hard time, and then open the floor for participants to bring real live scenarios to the session. Participants build confidence in delivering feedback by working together and practicing for hard conversations in this workshop.

Feedback Part 3:  Receiving Feedback for Growth with Candor Courage and Care
